Irish Christmas Traditions

Christmas in Ireland is a magical time of year, where friends and family reuinite and the magic of christmas fills the air. Each Family has their own traiditon however there are a few traditions that are loved and shared by many.

The traditions start on Christmas Eve, where families gather in their Sunday best to attend the local parish christmas choir, usually held in the church. Here, people mingle out the front of the door of the church before heading inside to be be seronaded by the church choir. Afterwards people bond over some pinced pies and nostalgic stories, while some scurry home to finish their christmas present wrapping ;) 

The traditions continue on Christmas morning where there is always that one family member that wakes up at the crack of dawn
