Full Description
Travel through the scenic landscapes of East Clare and Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands with a local guide and storyteller. Visit Mountshannon before continuing towards Inis Cealtra, the historic monastic island on Lough Derg, known for its ancient churches, round tower and centuries of Irish heritage.
The experience combines walking, storytelling and local history, with props, costumes and films helping bring the area's legends and past to life.
Itinerary
Begin in the Mountshannon area, where you’ll discover local heritage before visiting an active blacksmith forge and the Inis Cealtra Visitor Experience. Continue to Inis Cealtra (Holy Island) to explore its historic landscape and hear stories of the island’s religious and cultural past.
Where available, the experience can also be extended with tours of historic Killaloe or Tuamgraney.
