Halloween events you cannot miss 2025

Ireland is the home of Halloween and that means there is tons of things to keep you entertained during the weeks leading up to the spooktacular day. From pumpkin picking to spooky scare fests there is something for everyone to enjoy this Halloween. We have put together our favourite picks of Halloween activities across the country to help you in choosing your Halloween activities.

Starting off in Louth there is plenty of fun for you and your family, friends or lovers. Funtasia theme park have a pumpkin patch festival where you can pick your own pumpkins and take the insta perfect picture for your autumnal feed. Lu Drogheda is also hosting a festival of light from the 24th to the 27th of October where innovative artwork tells the tales of old folklore.

Moving onto Meath, a location perfect for the thriller seekers! Home of the infamous Farmaphobia, its not one to miss if you are looking for a scary night filled with jump scares and horror. For those not a big fan of the horror, Emerald Park have opened their doors at dark for a night filled with rides and even a tricky trail, it is definitely not one to miss!

The Capital City is filled with haunted attractions, from the ghost bus tour right in the centre of the city to pumpkins after dark in Newbridge house and farm in Donabate. For the movie lovers there is a retro + drive in movies, showcasing your favourite spooky films, located in Leopardstown racecourse.

Now moving onto Kildare, just a short drive from Dublin, Clonfert pet farm have a Halloween harvest festival which is listed in Irelands Top 10 pumpkin patches, a perfect day out filled with laughter and joy. They also have a lovely coffee shop where you can get your warm drinks to heat you up in this autumnal weather.

Weather your living near Kilkenny or fancy a trip on the train from Dublin, there is plenty to do from Nore Valley Parks Halloween event, Jurassic Newpark’s Halloween Experience or Castlecomer Discovery Parks Spooky Going-Ons, you will have plenty to fill your day with!

Onto our second last location Galway, there are a few events you cannot miss!! There is a Halloween festival being held in Galway as well as Macnas Halloween Parade, two very popular and big events that promise to no disappoint. There is also plenty of Pumpkin patches and other spooky activities for you to enjoy if crowd aren’t your thing.

Finally Cork is the place to be with festivals, Parades and an abundance of pumpkin patches. For the festival lovers there is the Leap scarecrow festival, the Kinsale An Tulca Halloween Festival and the Yughal Spirit of Samhain. There is also The Dragon of Shannon parade for you all! Aside from the big events there is spooky trails, treasure hunts, Pumpkin patches and much more for you all to enjoy this Halloween.
