Start the day at Granville Hotel, where you will meet your tour guide and gain an exclusive insight into the folklore and secrets of mountain life.
Fuel your body for the tour with the breakfast at the hotel where you can enjoy their renowned Flahavan’s Organic Porridge with Waterford’s Muldoon Whiskey, or the Full Irish, made fresh with local ingredients.
Next you will trail down to Andrew Malcolm at Crough Wood where you will learn his understanding of the flora from the landscape - here you will discover what is and is NOT edible.
After Crough Wood, take a well-deserved coffee break at Crough Coffee to recharge and prepare for the next step of the adventure.
Next, visit the Ballynamult Mountain Farm to discover the organic vegetables grown on site. You will learn about the sustainable practices of the farm off Clotilde Kiely.
Meet the black-faced, Scottish Sheep and witness the Shepherding in action at Mahon Falls.This is brought to you by Willie Drohan. His family has been farming on the land for six generations.
Break for lunch at the converted farmhouse Cooney's Yard which is the farm's family-owned café. Here you can taste the fresh food local to the farm.
The tour ends back where it began at the Granville Hotel - which gives you the opportunity to explore Waterford City and uncover the historic tales of city life.
