Como chegar ao paraíso partindo de Belfast

27 March 2026

Se você adorou Derry Girls E curte uma comédia irlandesa afiada, então How to Get to Heaven from Belfast é a série imperdível para você. Aqui está um guia de viagem com os locais de filmagem que você pode seguir para explorar os lugares que ajudaram a dar vida à história da série.

Created by Lisa McGee and streaming on Netflix since 12 February 2026, this eight-episode dark comedy mystery follows three lifelong friends — Saoirse, Robyn and Dara — on a road trip full of secrets, laughs and weird twists, all set against some of Ireland’s most iconic landscapes and quirky towns.

The Harbourview Hotel, Carnlough

The local hotel featured early in the series is actually The Harbourview Hotel, located above the harbour and offering sweeping sea views. The production team transformed it into the 'Knockdara hotel' for the show.

Local Tip: After filming wrapped, the hotel was renovated and is now known for its whiskey collection — a great stop if you’re touring the Irish coastline

Belfast – Modern Streets, Pub Scenes and City Life

Though the title references Belfast, the city itself is more than a name-drop: scenes were filmed throughout Belfast, giving viewers atmospheric glimpses of urban Northern Ireland life. From nightlife to local pubs and even interior scenes set here and there — the city plays a subtle but memorable role in setting the show’s tone.

Local Tip: A must-see while in Belfast would be the vibrant streets, creative nightlife, and dramatic murals, specifically in the Cathedral Quarter.

Murlough Bay, Northern Ireland

A stand-out location used for some of the series’ most dramatic moments is Murlough Bay — a sweeping, rugged section of Northern Ireland’s famous Causeway Coast.

It’s one of Northern Ireland’s hidden gem spots: stark cliffs, Atlantic wind, and unforgettable views.

Local Tip: Murlough Bay is wild, remote and absolutely worth the effort - but plan ahead! There are no cafés or facilities, so bring snacks, water, good walking shoes and anything else you need.

Saint John’s Point, County Down – Lighthouse Views

The series also features sequences filmed at Saint John’s Point — known for its striking lighthouse and dramatic seascapes (a location in County Down).

Photographers and film fans alike will recognise this setting the moment it appears — and it’s a gorgeous real world spot for coastal walks and sunset views.

Local Tip: This location is perfect for sunset photography - you may even find a wild friend as the shore is known to be the home of many seals and seabirds. (Oh and there's no shops here either so be prepared!)
