Full Description
Kilfenora, known as the "City of Crosses," is home to Ireland's highest concentration of ancient high crosses. This picturesque village boasts a medieval Cathedral dating back to 1058 and has a unique connection to the Pope, who once served as Bishop here.
The tour covers Kilfenora’s rich archaeology, local legends, and folklore. It explores the village’s pivotal role in ecclesiastical history, traditional farming practices, and its modern contributions to environmental tourism.
Visitors will also get the opportunity to The Self-Guided Burren and The Kilfenora Ceili Band Exhibitions.
