Fully discover what makes Portmagee Whiskey so special as you uncover their rich heritage with the Portmagee Whiskey Tasting Lesson. Set in the Portmagee Domes, this 25 minute experience explores the flavours of the tripled distilled whiskey. Learn about the evolution of the Irish whiskey - from it's roots to the unique expressions.
Guided by experts, you will be taken on a journey of flavour. Participate in the Whiskey tasting and identify the different styles and finishes. The tasting lesson includes Portmagee's well known expressions such as the Single Pot Still and Portmagee 9. Portmagee whiskey is crafted with a blend of single malt. single grain, triple distiller and aged in barrels that once homed Barbadian Rum. This process honours the legacy of Captain Theobald Magee, in which the fishing village is named after.
The Portmagee Dome is a beautiful architectural building that not only adds to the ambience of the lesson but creates a beautiful backdrop for all your photographic needs. The design offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape of Kerry which enhances your sensory tour.
