Full Description
Experience one of the best sea fishing trips in County Sligo with this exciting three-hour fishing charter departing from Rosses Point. Travelling further offshore than the shorter excursions, this trip gives you more time to explore productive fishing grounds throughout Sligo Bay and neighbouring Donegal Bay while enjoying breathtaking views of Ireland's rugged northwest coastline.
Your adventure begins with drift fishing for Atlantic mackerel when they are in season. Once you've had the chance to land some fast-moving fish, the skipper will guide the boat towards local reefs and deeper waters where you'll try your hand at bottom fishing for a variety of species commonly found along the Atlantic coast.
Whether you're completely new to fishing or already have experience, the relaxed atmosphere and professional guidance make this trip suitable for everyone. Fishing tuition is available throughout the excursion, while all rods, tackle and bait are supplied, allowing you to simply step aboard and enjoy the day.
Families particularly enjoy this experience thanks to its combination of fishing, wildlife spotting and scenic cruising. Small group sizes ensure every guest receives personal attention from the skipper, making it ideal for children, couples, groups of friends and visitors looking to experience authentic sea angling in Ireland.
For private groups, there's also the opportunity to include a stop at Coney Island, where you can enjoy a drink or pizza at the island pub if time allows. This optional addition has become a favourite choice for family celebrations, birthday outings, staff events and corporate trips.
Throughout the journey you'll also enjoy panoramic views of Rosses Point, Benbulben, Knocknarea and the stunning Wild Atlantic Way coastline, making this experience just as rewarding for sightseeing as it is for fishing.
