Full Description
Departing from Doolin, travellers are accompanied by The Doolin Ferry Company and an experienced guide throughout the day. The short crossing to Inisheer offers visitors the chance to explore historic churches and castles, relax on one of Ireland’s most scenic beaches, and visit local pubs and cafés. Additional activities include hiring a pony and trap, cycling, or walking along quiet boreens to take in the island’s unique charm.
After leaving Inisheer, the ferry returns to Doolin, where guests can choose to join a guided cruise along the base of the Cliffs of Moher. This offers a unique perspective of the cliffs, which rise 214 metres and stretch for 8 kilometres along the coast. Those who prefer not to take the cruise can disembark at Doolin Pier and wait for the group.
The tour includes a stop for a hearty meal at a traditional local pub before arriving at the Cliffs of Moher. As part of the Galway Tour Company experience, guests receive complimentary entry to the cliffs and the eco-friendly visitor centre, with time to walk along the cliff edge and take in the breathtaking views from above.
After leaving the Cliffs of Moher, the tour continues along the edge of Galway Bay, widely regarded as one of Ireland’s most stunning coastlines and a key section of the famous Wild Atlantic Way.
