Threads to Throw Tour

The "Threads to Throws" tour at Liz Christy Hand-Weaving Studios offers an immersive experience into the world of traditional hand-weaving. Guided by Liz Christy herself, visitors explore the creative process behind bespoke textiles, from hand-dyeing to weaving on foot-powered looms. The tour provides insight into Liz’s eco-friendly techniques and the inspiration drawn from nature and art. Guests can also interact with the team, observe the studio's vibrant atmosphere, and receive a LizzyC Sheep Keyring as a memento. An extended 1.5-hour version includes a batik demonstration by artist Louise Loughman, showcasing her skillful use of hot wax and hand-painted silk to create intricate designs.

Visitors must check in with a staff member upon arrival. They are expected to behave safely at all times and follow staff instructions. Visitors should adhere to the fire safety policy and, in case of an emergency, follow staff guidance to the designated assembly point.
