The playground at Birr Castle Demesne features equipment for children of all ages, allowing each child to explore and play at their own pace.

Picnic tables are available for use, providing a perfect spot to rest and refuel before your next adventure at the demesne. Perfect for nature lovers, gardening enthusiasts, families, photographers, scientists, and historians.

• Ticket is valid for use during our opening hours on your selected date only.

• Please note general admission gives visitors access to the castle grounds and entry to the castle is not included.
• From time to time due to high winds other dangerous weather conditions the venue may need to close at short notice for the health and safety of our visitors and the team.

• Most paths are accessible by wheelchair or mobility vehicle, though some hills and areas with steps are present and clearly marked on the visitor map.
• Spanning 120 acres, the demesne offers numerous quiet spots to pause, reflect, and savour the beauty of this remarkable location.
