Full Description
Take your sea fishing adventure to the next level with this private half-day fishing charter departing from Rosses Point in County Sligo. Offering four hours on the water, this experience allows you to travel further into Sligo Bay and neighbouring Donegal Bay, reaching productive fishing grounds where larger fish and a greater variety of species can often be found.
Designed as a private charter, this trip is ideal for families, groups of friends, celebrations, corporate outings and anyone looking for a more personalised fishing experience. With exclusive use of the boat, your skipper can tailor the trip to suit your group's interests, whether that's spending more time fishing, enjoying the spectacular coastal scenery or combining both.
Throughout the trip you'll have the opportunity to fish using a range of techniques including drift fishing for mackerel and whitefish, bottom fishing over local reefs and exciting light spinning for hard-fighting pollack. If you'd like to try spinning, simply let your skipper know before departure and all the necessary equipment will be provided at no extra cost.
No previous fishing experience is required. Beginners will receive expert instruction, while experienced anglers can benefit from local knowledge of seasonal fishing conditions and productive marks around the bay. All rods, tackle and fishing equipment are included, making it easy to simply arrive and enjoy the day.
As well as the fishing, you'll experience some of the finest coastal scenery in northwest Ireland. Cruise past Rosses Point, admire the dramatic outline of Benbulben and Knocknarea, and discover why this coastline has inspired generations of visitors and writers.
For groups looking to create a more relaxed day out, the itinerary can also be customised to include sightseeing or an optional stop at Coney Island, where you can enjoy refreshments at the island pub if time and weather conditions allow.
