Full Description
The Gleniff Cliffs, also known as Annaconna, are among County Sligo’s most photographed landmarks. This unforgettable hike takes you through serene lowland blanket bogs before climbing a steep but safe trail to the breathtaking cliffs.
You’ll be rewarded with incredible views of Gleniff Valley, Benwisken’s summit, and landmarks steeped in legend, including Diarmuid & Gráinne’s Cave and the Cauldron. Reaching Benwisken’s summit is a true thrill, with the land dropping away steeply on all sides. From here, enjoy sweeping views over Sligo, Donegal, and the distant mountains.
As the day comes to a close, you'll head back to the starting point, guided by the soft light of head torches and the moon, bringing a magical end to an unforgettable activity.
