Birr Castle!
We went to Birr Castle, and it was amazing. We could just see the garden and a museum (next to the ticket office), but it was worth it! They give you a map of the park and you can enjoy all the little attractions they have made. It took us an hour to make it. We recommend seeing the museum first and then the garden as there are excellent explanations of how the telescope works.
In addition, you can find an excellent café in the castle for a post-visit break.
